Huia Road
Huia Road · Titirangi → Huia
The drive
Huia Road runs from Titirangi, at the edge of the Waitākere Ranges, out along the Manukau Harbour shore to the small settlement of Huia: 11 km (7 mi) in about 15 minutes, though most drivers take longer. It is twisty most of the way, with narrow bends through bush and past bays.
The road passes Laingholm and the Cornwallis turn-off on its way, and the last stretch drops to Huia with views towards the Manukau Heads.
It is a dead end for this drive: it stops at Huia and returns the same way. Beyond Huia the road continues to Little Huia and on to Whatipū, which this drive does not cover.

Good to know
- The road is narrow and winding, so allow time and watch for cyclists.
