Rickenbacker Causeway
Biscayne Bay, Florida · Brickell → Key Biscayne
The drive
The Rickenbacker Causeway runs from Brickell over Biscayne Bay to Virginia Key and across Bear Cut, where it becomes Crandon Boulevard on Key Biscayne. Water spreads out on both sides and the downtown skyline stands behind you; on the island, palms line the road.
The drive ends at the south end of Crandon Boulevard, before Bill Baggs Cape Florida State Park. The causeway is the only land access to Crandon Park, the Village of Key Biscayne and the state park, and Miami-Dade County describes it as one of the busiest cycling and running routes in the county.
