The drive

This is the southern half of the E99 coast road: 22 km (14 mi) from Khor Fakkan to the Fujairah corniche in about 20 minutes. It runs south along the Gulf of Oman with the sea on the left and the Hajar Mountains inland, and most of it is the Qidfa Bypass Road, which skirts the village of Qidfa.

Khor Fakkan is a Sharjah exclave on the coast, with a beach north of the town centre and a container port. The road reaches Fujairah City along the Port Road and the Corniche Road. It is a plain, easy road with gentle curves, and its value is the sea and mountain scenery rather than the driving. It pairs with the Dibba to Khor Fakkan drive to the north.
