The drive

Chilliwack Lake Road follows the Chilliwack River up its valley from Vedder Crossing to Chilliwack Lake. It is a paved two-lane road with bends beside the river and through forest, and the valley is known for river activities such as rafting and fishing.

The road climbs gradually to the lake, where Chilliwack Lake Provincial Park has 182 frontcountry campsites and a playground. Along the way there are several campgrounds in the river valley, including small ones reached by short side roads off Chilliwack Lake Road.

Because the road ends at the lake, you return the way you came. The last stretch near the park is campground road, so go slowly.
