Drives British Columbia Vancouver, the Sea-to-Sky and the BC Coast
Cypress Bowl Road
North Shore Mountains, British Columbia · Highway 1 → Cypress Mountain
The drive
Cypress Bowl Road climbs from the Upper Levels Highway in West Vancouver to Cypress Mountain, 7 miles of wide switchbacks gaining about 2,100 feet. It is a dead end at the ski area, so the drive stops on the road short of the parking lots.
Partway up is the Highview Lookout, over Vancouver, the Lions Gate Bridge and, on clear days, Mount Baker. The climb takes about 20 minutes and is sweeping rather than tight.
Along the way
