Drives Quebec Montreal, the Laurentians and the Eastern Townships
Bolton Pass and Missisquoi Valley
Eastern Townships, Quebec · Knowlton → Glen Sutton
The drive
This drive crosses the Eastern Townships on two good roads. It leaves Knowlton and takes Route 243 through Bolton Pass, which one Rider magazine writer calls the old stagecoach road and one of his favorite roads in the Townships: forested, sparsely populated hills and a series of sweeping corners.
At Mansonville the drive turns onto the Missisquoi Valley Road toward Glen Sutton. Eastern Townships tourism singles out that road between Abercorn and Mansonville for its views of the Missisquoi River and fertile meadows. The whole drive is 28 miles and takes about 45 minutes.
Along the way
