Jupiter Island: Beach Road and A1A
Beach Road, A1A, US 1 · Hobe Sound → Juno Beach
The drive
This drive starts at Bridge Road in Hobe Sound and runs south down Jupiter Island on Beach Road, then follows US 1 over Jupiter Inlet and A1A south along the dunes to Juno Beach Pier. Sea grape lines the quiet beach roads, with ocean glimpses between the houses.
Blowing Rocks Preserve sits on Jupiter Island. Its Anastasia limestone shoreline is the largest on the Atlantic coast, and in rough seas at high tide the waves push water up through the rocks, sending spray as high as 50 feet.
