The drive

Teton Pass is WY 22 from Wilson over the south end of the Teton Range to Victor, Idaho. The summit is 8,431 feet. At the state line, at roughly 6,690 feet, WY 22 becomes Idaho 33, which carries on to Victor.

The grades are steep on both sides, up to 10 percent, and the route has two twisty stretches among otherwise gentle curves. It is 16.4 miles and about 25 minutes. Several avalanche slide paths cross the road, including Glory Bowl.

A landslide near milepost 12.8 once collapsed part of the road; it was rebuilt, and slides and storms can still close the pass.
